Dr. Blackwell is a 1997 graduate of Texas A&M University. After a few years in the insurance industry, he made the life changing decision to change direction and pursue a career in Chiropractic. Dr. Blackwell graduated, with academic honors, in 2004 from Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, TX. He also holds advanced certification in Clinical Acupuncture.
Dr. Blackwell has practiced in Alvin, TX, since 2004 in general family practice. He has had the privilege to serve Alvin and the surrounding area by helping many people obtain relief from a multitude of health issues. His youngest patient has been 6 months old and the oldest 96.
Dr. Blackwell married the love of his life in 2001. Mauna is a teacher for the Alvin ISD, teaching math at Alvin High School. They are the proud parents of an active two-year old daughter. They attend Trinity Apostolic Faith Church in Alvin, where Dr. Blackwell serves as a member of the Board of Elders.
He is an active member of the community, serving in the Alvin Rotary Club. Dr. Blackwell was raised on a ranch and has competed in rodeo throughout his life. He also has a background in martial arts. Though time and family obligations have slowed the rodeo participation down, he still likes to compete when the opportunity arises.

Kristin was raised in Santa Fe, Texas. After high school she attended Alvin Community College and then completed her degree at Texas State University in San Marcos where she received a Bachelor of Science in HealthCare Administration.
After working for other medical offices, Kristin joined Dr. Blackwell’s chiropractic clinic in May 2005, prior to the grand opening of the office. She has worked as the Office Manager/Chiropractic Assistant managing the scheduling of patients, documentation/reconciliation of patient payments, patient therapy and just about everything else that goes on in the office for the past four years! She brings a plethora of knowledge to HealthSouce of Alvin and is very willing and enthusiastic to learn more!
Having sought chiropractic care for years because of lower back pain, Kristin can honestly relate to patient concerns, questions and the discomfort they might be experiencing. Kristin enjoys giving patients support and encouragement throughout their chiropractic treatment and is always happy to answer any questions.
In her spare time, Kristin enjoys reading, gardening, spending time with family and volunteering with a local animal shelter as she is a huge animal lover! She is married to Troy and they reside in Pearland.
